Seats
The majority of triple buggies start life as single pushchairs. However, some can convert to take the seat of a second person or carrycot by converting adapters (these are usually more common in tandem buggies). Some models allow you to add an additional board for older kids who are ready to walk, but need some help.

Suspension
The suspension of a double 3 wheel buggy will determine how easily you and your child/children can push it. Certain models also have locking front wheels to assist with maneuvering and getting over obstacles like curbs.
Some models use air-filled tyres that give you a great all-terrain ride, but can be prone to punctures therefore, make sure you have a spare set in the trunk. Folding
A three-wheel double buggy can fold up pretty easily to store it. You can find options that fold flat and then stand up (as if they're in a pushchair position) as well as ones that pop out to reveal a more umbrella-style fold with a hand-operated brake. The more wheels the buggy has, generally, the easier it is to maneuver over rough terrain. This is particularly true if your wheels are larger than typical size. You will have more stability and it's less likely that you will be forced to tip over or flip your child.
